Projects.

I design responsive web sites & mobile applications. I Also turn those designs into beautiful semantic HTML/CSS/JS templates.

This site

My own site is build using the so called Mobile First technique and progressive enhancement to focus on the content. Currently it supports screen resolutions ranging between 240–2000 pixels.

I did the identity & design — including logo and copywriting — and development for the site. During the first two months this site has been visited by over 100 000 visitors who have generated 300 000 pageviews.

Keikalle

Keikalle is an app that finds music events and gigs for tonight near your location + it'll also guide you to the venue. The screenshots are from alpha development version of the app. UI is in Finnish, but there might be an international version coming somewhere in the future.

I did the design — including icon and copywriting — and front end development for the site and the iPhone application. The idea for the app came from @apeisa.

Kisko Labs

I joined Kisko Labs on April 2011 and one of my very first assignments were the new identity and website design. I also wrote a short blog post about this process called “making kiskolabs.com responsive”.

50000 Visitors and 135000 Pageviews

After the launch of the new site it has been visited by over 90 000 visitors in a couple of months. Our site has also been showcased on multiple web design galleries.

Tehy

Tehy, the trade union, represents qualified health care professionals, social workers and students of these professions in Finland. Tehy is the largest union in these fields and has over 150,000 members.

This project was completed while I was working at Avoine. I did the design and front end development for the site.

Elisa

Elisa Markkina-avain is an easy-to-use web page editor and online store designed for small businesses. I designed the marketing site and some of the admin interfaces.

This project was done in 2008 while I was working at Optinet. I did the design for the site based on Elisa's current identity.

Save the children

Save the Children Finland is a national organization founded in 1922, which fights for children’s rights in order to immediately and permanently improve children’s lives in Finland and all over the world.

This project was completed while I was working at Avoine. I did the design and front end development for the site.

Reader App

This is a personal project (never released) I did back in the day to test how media queries would work together with application development. Everything you see here is made with CSS only and designed in the browser (except those 9 small icons).

The whole application was made to be completely fluid down to 320px.
